Home Shopping

Thanks to Roman May

Yesterday my wife and I went to look at new homes with a realtor. We have been living in Texas for the past year in an apartment. Now that we have spent some time here checking out the different neighborhoods and areas, we’ve decided we are ready to put down our roots. We don’t have any children but plan to so the new house will need to have room for them. We also don’t have any pets but my wife would really like a dog so a yard we can fence in (if it isn’t already fenced) is also a must. I like to tinker with cars so we have to have a good sized garage. We looked at five houses but none of them really fit what we are looking for. The good news from the day is we really liked the realtor we met with. She was very professional and knowledgeable and provided some great information. One of the items she gave us was a page of websites to help us when we move. It listed places for everything you need to do to get set up in your new home, including shopelectricityratestexas.com. We are looking forward to being able to use the new information!

Moving to the Country

Guest post from: Constance Rodgers

My husband and I have been talking about moving to the country not so much because we hate the city but we both really feel a calling to live off the land, if that makes sense. We’ve both always loved fresh produce and that kind of thing and we think that making the transition to living on a farm sounds like a really wonderful way of life for us. There are a lot of things to consider, though, like what we’ll do with our house here in the city and how to get wildblue internet way out there. It’s also going to be a challenge to find enough land to make our home self-sustaining which is our ultimate goal if we go all the way out there. I think it will be a great way to raise our future family and I know the dogs would love it so I think I’m pushing for it even harder than my husband but when it comes down to it we both have to be in agreement about it!
