A more promising afternoon snack

Guest post written by Chloe Martin I am just so tired of eating regular old snacks that come from the store. Sometimes you just know that you want something that's homemade. I'm not the best cook, but I think that I make up for that in enthusiasm and effort. I'm always trying to come up with something or try my hand at some difficult recipe.

Most of the time, though, I'll just look up a recipe online and use one that I find there instead of creating something from scratch. I love to make a recipe from scratch and see what I can come up with, but that's obviously a lot more time consuming. While I was looking around online to find a good recipe, I saw this site called debt settlement family. I looked at the content some and after that I decided to use it to help out with my financial debts.

During my search I found this hummus recipe that just sounded so good that I had to try it out for myself. It wasn't very hard to make and I have to say that once I got it the right consistency, it was so much better than any store bought hummus I'd ever tasted. I think I'll be making this quite often.

Looking for crafters

I made this blog, to be a place to help people make, and save money!
Today I found a little gift shop called Putunias in Wilmington, MA, that sells homemade crafts. The owner is currently looking for local crafters. If you have a hobby, it might be time to start making money with your talent.

I like to airbrush, but never really sold anything I've made. Most of what I make is copyrighted therefore I can't legally sell them. I just make them for my son . It is now a tradition, every year for his Birthday I airbrush him a shirt. This started when he was two! First it was the Backyard agains, Dragon Tales, Fantastic Four, Bubble Guppies, and Power Rangers.

Below are some of the shirts I made!

ALLIGATOR BOOTS

This guest post from Lenny Mcknight

This Christmas I used my wireless internet service to find my husband a great gift. He is one of those people who has everything, so I never know what to buy him for Christmas, our Anniversary, and his birthday. I am also waiting until the last minute and running around town trying to find the perfect gift. I have to say that he usually gives much better gifts than I do. He is really just so thoughtful and always picks me out something that I love, but would never spend the money on myself. Like this year, he got me a new ski coat and also some really beautiful green onyx earrings. I searched and searched the internet and then decided that I was going to get him some custom cowboy boots. I ended up ordering the custom pair from the Lucchesse boot store in Houston, Texas. They are the same boot brand that John Wayne used to wear. I ordered him almond brown boots. The lower half of the boots are alligator back. The upper part of the boot is made of soft goat leather with nice stiching and detailing. They are truly unique and beautiful. I think that they are going to be a nice surprise and that he is going to really love them.

Home Shopping

Thanks to Roman May

Yesterday my wife and I went to look at new homes with a realtor. We have been living in Texas for the past year in an apartment. Now that we have spent some time here checking out the different neighborhoods and areas, we’ve decided we are ready to put down our roots. We don’t have any children but plan to so the new house will need to have room for them. We also don’t have any pets but my wife would really like a dog so a yard we can fence in (if it isn’t already fenced) is also a must. I like to tinker with cars so we have to have a good sized garage. We looked at five houses but none of them really fit what we are looking for. The good news from the day is we really liked the realtor we met with. She was very professional and knowledgeable and provided some great information. One of the items she gave us was a page of websites to help us when we move. It listed places for everything you need to do to get set up in your new home, including shopelectricityratestexas.com. We are looking forward to being able to use the new information!

Moving to the Country

Guest post from: Constance Rodgers

My husband and I have been talking about moving to the country not so much because we hate the city but we both really feel a calling to live off the land, if that makes sense. We’ve both always loved fresh produce and that kind of thing and we think that making the transition to living on a farm sounds like a really wonderful way of life for us. There are a lot of things to consider, though, like what we’ll do with our house here in the city and how to get wildblue internet way out there. It’s also going to be a challenge to find enough land to make our home self-sustaining which is our ultimate goal if we go all the way out there. I think it will be a great way to raise our future family and I know the dogs would love it so I think I’m pushing for it even harder than my husband but when it comes down to it we both have to be in agreement about it!

E-mail Marketing

A great way to add extra income to your online presence, is by using different types email marketing programs. There are many different programs, and tools. I will explain what I use, and how I make it work for me. you may have to tweak some of the methods to make for you.

The program I like to use is email newsletters. I have found family to be a great targeted audience. I have a large family thats gets together quite often, I use the newsletters keep the rest of the family in the loop. With links to my blog, letting them know theirs new pictures they just have to see. This generates traffic with the end result being extra cash.

Remember not to spam, you should really use the proper email marketing tools to allow you subscribers to Opt out. It's better to have a solid list of potential clients, then a huge list of people just throw trash your emails.
